Top 3 Takeaways

  1. Sustainable Growth – Being able to grow the business without everything blowing up. You have to create a repeatable consistent experience for the client.
  2. Pick one thing each day, that if it looks like you are going to do it again in the future, Record, Train or Document it, so someone else can do it in the future.
  3. There is no balance, it’s just choices, and trying to make the right choices with the finite amount of time you have available.

Hot Topic Summary – Work Life Balance

Does Work Life Balance actually exist? It is so much more than a “4 Hour Work week”. Instead it should be seen as a Yin/Yang interaction between your Business Life and your Personal Life. What then needs to happen?

This interaction is all about getting the right “mix”, the right frequency, the right volume, it’s much like getting a mix right in the music industry. Things that typically get your “mix” out of whack are:

  • Business Underperformance
  • Personal Finances
  • Personal Turmoil

These all affect both Life and Business in a cyclical fashion, and depending on the environment, you need to constantly change the mix.

To address these issues you need to plot out What you want your life to look like, and what you want your business to look like. Then determine what you have to do to achieve it, the all important actions.

At the end of the day, your business enables your personal life. It is not a balance, it is an ever changing mix.
